How to Roll and Reroll Unit Traits

Complete trait reroll guide for Anime Expeditions: find the reroll station, use autoroll, chase Unbound (0.1%), Forsaken, and Draconic mythic traits.

Traits are passive buffs that sit on top of unit stats and can transform a good summon into a meta-defining tower. Every unit can roll a trait through summoning or rerolling at the trait station in the Upgrades area. Mythic-tier traits like Unbound, Forsaken, and Draconic offer massive combat bonuses — but they come with low roll rates. This guide covers where to reroll, how autoroll works, and which traits to chase for your best units.

Finding the Trait Reroll Station

Head to the Upgrades area in the lobby — the same hub that contains Evolution, Crafting, Ascension, and Shiny Transfer. The trait reroll station sits alongside these services. Interact with it to open the trait menu for any unit on your team. You consume reroll items (obtained from quests, codes, the store, and raid rewards) each time you roll. The interface displays every trait tier with exact stat descriptions, a trait history log of your last 50 rolls, and an autoroll button.

Using Autoroll Efficiently

Hold the autoroll button to continuously reroll at high speed until you release or run out of reroll items. This is the preferred method for chasing rare traits — manual clicking is slower and unnecessary. The game plays unique music for each trait tier when you roll, so audio cues help you notice high-tier hits even while autorolling. Stock up on reroll items from daily quests, weekly quests, release event calendars, and the gem shop before starting a long session.

Mythic Traits Worth Chasing

Unbound is the rarest and most powerful mythic trait at approximately 0.1% roll rate. It increases damage by 350%, decreases SPA by 5%, increases range by 10%, and restricts the unit to a single placement — turning a already-strong Mythic into an absolute boss-killing carry. Forsaken is a more obtainable mythic trait focused on critical hits: +35% crit damage, +35% crit chance, and +10% range. It excels on units with multi-hit attacks or already-high base damage. Draconic provides +20% damage, +50% DOT (damage-over-time) increase, and -10% overall placement cost — ideal for bleed and burn units like Gother or any DOT-focused Mythic.

  • Unbound (~0.1%): +350% DMG, -5% SPA, +10% RNG, single placement
  • Forsaken: +35% crit damage, +35% crit chance, +10% range
  • Draconic: +20% DMG, +50% DOT damage, -10% placement cost
  • Primordial: +35% DMG, -15% SPA, +20% range (solid all-rounder)

When to Reroll and When to Stop

Reroll traits only on units you plan to invest in long-term — Mythics and Secrets that anchor your story and raid teams. Legendary units you are about to evolve into Mythics are also good reroll targets, since the trait carries over through evolution in most cases. Do not reroll on temporary filler units or units you will replace within a week. For most DPS Mythics, Forsaken or Draconic are excellent stopping points if Unbound eludes you after a large reroll investment. Only chase Unbound on your single best carry where the single-placement restriction is acceptable.

Perguntas Frequentes

What is the Unbound trait roll rate?

Unbound has approximately a 0.1% chance per reroll, making it the rarest mythic trait in the game. Use autoroll and stockpile reroll items before attempting to chase it.

Does Forsaken work on all units?

Forsaken benefits any unit that can critically hit, but it shines on high-damage Mythics with fast attack cycles. The +35% crit chance and crit damage stack multiplicatively with base stats.

Is Draconic only for DOT units?

Draconic's +50% DOT damage bonus is wasted on pure single-target units, but its +20% damage and -10% cost apply universally. It is best-in-slot for bleed and burn specialists.

Can I transfer a trait between units?

Traits are bound to the unit they are rolled on. Shiny Transfer moves shiny status between units, but traits must be rerolled individually on each unit at the trait station.

Should I reroll before or after evolving?

Rerolling before evolving a Legendary into its Mythic form can save resources if your game version carries traits through evolution. For already-Mythic units, reroll whenever you commit to keeping them on your main team.

How does trait history help?

The trait history panel records your last 50 rolls, letting you track streaks and verify roll rates during long autoroll sessions without manually logging results.
